Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people. Celebrate the life of John Lewis with song and love, and shine a light on his legacy. Take inspiration from his speech at the March on Washington, August 28, 1963, and fight to carry on his message.
This is an outdoor, family-friendly event. Bring bug spray, dress for the weather, and reach out if you have any questions. And spread the word!
Hosted by: Indivisible First Middlesex: indivisiblefirstmiddlesex@gmail.com
Date/Time: July 17, 8:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Location: Groton Common (Main Street & Rte. 40, across from the Groton Public Library)
Please note: A core principle behind our Good Trouble Lives On actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
