On Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., Democrats will convene virtually to elect six delegates and four alternates to represent Groton at the 2022 State Democratic Convention. This caucus will take place virtually. Any registered or pre-registered Democratic Groton voter may participate. To register for the caucus, go to : https://bit.ly/3swe5bJ

It will speed up the caucus check-in process if members register early. When you register, you will receive the Zoom link automatically. Registered and pre-registered Democrats in Groton 16 years old by February 4, 2022 may vote and be elected as delegates or alternates during the caucus. Please encourage your family, friends, and neighbors who are interested in the process of electing our state's top leaders to participate.

Youth (age 16 to 35), people with disabilities, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community not elected as delegates or alternates are encouraged to apply to be add-on delegates at the caucus or by visiting massdems.org/convention. The 2022 Convention will be a hybrid convention, with in-person proceedings taking place alongside virtual participation options on June 3 and 4 at the DCU Center in Worcester. Delegates will convene to endorse candidates for statewide office ahead of the September Democratic Primary. (Candidates must receive 15% of the delegate votes in order to appear on the primary ballot.) The MassDems are closely monitoring changes in public health guidance and will update plans accordingly.

The monthly meeting will follow the caucus and the guest speaker will be Adam Hinds, candidate for Lt. Governor.
